Art Director
Art Directors report to the Creative Director and work alongside the account team, interaction designers, and programmers. He or She will be responsible for brainstorming creative concepts with the project team, developing original design concepts, executing designs based on established style guides, participating in visual design presentations to clients, developing design specs for production, and overseeing junior design team members.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience (preferably agency and interactive work).
- Strong conceptual thinking.
- Intimate knowledge of relevant industry tools.
- Strong leadership skills - ability to team lead, manage and mentor junior designers.
- Strong communication skills - you will interface with clients frequently as well as work on teams within the office.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- A solid understanding of designing intuitive site functionality, interaction, site architecture, user interfaces, and navigation.
- Driven to define the look and feel of large, industry-leading sites.
- A great attitude - We value our creative talent tremendously and show it, but we operate a prima-donna free work zone.
Copywriter
Copywriters at LiveHive understand that people read differently online & offline. They know how to craft inspiring, innovative copy solutions while respecting the reader’s time and maintaining the brand’s trust and credibility. They understand that in many cases, content will make or break an entire campaign—and they are comfortable with that responsibility.
The copywriter will partner with LiveHive designers and strategists to develop content strategies and write copy across a wide variety of media and project types.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience - Strong copyediting and proofing skills.
- Familiarity with SEO requirements a plus.
- An appreciation for the relationship between textual and visual elements.
- Ability to write professionally in variety of styles for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently when necessary.
Graphic Designer

Flash Developer
LiveHive is currently seeking a motivated, hands-on ActionScript developer to join our development group. Developers are responsible for building, testing, debugging and troubleshooting web applications and scripts.
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience writing ActionScript 2 for Flash applications integrated with server-side web applications and content management systems.
- Experience coding complex event handling systems and advanced transitions/animations in Flash.
- Experience integrating optimized video, 3d model animation in Flash.
- A thorough understanding of the concepts behind object oriented programming and several years experience implementing OOP concepts with ActionScript.
- Experience parsing XML with ActionScript to load dynamic content.
- Must have excellent problem solving skills and love technical challenges.
- Must be self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
- Must be able to take initiative to be productive and efficient.
- Must be able to function independently and still work well in a "team oriented" environment.
Web Developer
The web developer will work on projects for external clients as well as internal Hive projects. He or she will work with account team, and graphic designers to create interactive solutions for clients. He or she will build, test, debug, troubleshoot programs and scripts for various functions, and modify existing code to add new features.
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience.
- Experience with one or more of the following server side technologies: PHP, ASP.NET using C#, Java, mySQL, SQL.
- A good understanding of object oriented programming.
- Demonstrated experience with HTML, CSS table-less design and Javascript.
- An understanding of XML and Ajax.
Project Manager
We currently have immediate openings for candidates who fit the following description:
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience at an Interactive / Web Development Agency a plus.
- Experience building and tracking large scale budgets and schedules.
- Manage deliverables and communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- A solid understanding of the lifecycle of web development (Interaction Design, Visual Design and Development) a bonus.
- Experience with 3rd party integration.
- Experience evaluating 3rd party technical documentation.
- Experience conducting usability tests, card sorts and stakeholder interviews.
- Knowledge of project management principles, processes and software, including Microsoft Project, PowerPoint and Excel.
- An eye for quality design.
- A great sense of humor.
Account Coordinator
Account Coordinators work directly under project managers, interacting with clients, coordinating schedules and budgets, collaborating on strategy, and generally holding everything together.
Requirements:
- Smart as hell. Above all, we need someone who "gets it." A fast learner who will ask questions and take initiative.
- Organized. Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines, schedules, and communications.
- Design-Minded. An eye for quality design.
- Eager. No attitudes please. We all work hard and no one's above taking out the recycling.
- Web-savvy. A passion for and interest in the internet is required.
- Project savvy. Knowledge of basic project management skills, and software including PowerPoint and Excel.
- Some experience. This is an entry level position for someone with up to 3 years experience. Recent college grads with internship or part time experience welcome to apply.
